1. Summary
Control Pro Host is the macOS companion app for Control Pro. It runs on your Mac, streams your screen and system audio to your own iPhone or iPad, and applies the trackpad and keyboard input they send back. It is designed so that your data never leaves your home or office network. We collect nothing.
This policy covers the macOS host app. The iPhone and iPad app has its own policy: Control Pro – Desktop Remote.
2. What we collect
Nothing. Control Pro Host collects no personal information, no analytics, no usage data, and no identifiers. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no third-party SDKs.
3. How the app works with your data
- The Mac host app and the iOS controller app talk directly to each other over your local network. Screen video, audio, keyboard input, pointer input, and optional clipboard text travel only between your own devices.
- Your Mac's screen is captured only while a mirroring session is running, and the encoded video is sent to your paired device and nowhere else. It is never written to disk or recorded.
- All connections are encrypted with TLS. Pairing requires a one-time code shown on your Mac, and only one controller can be connected at a time.
- Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. We operate no servers, and the apps make no internet connections.
- Optional clipboard sync is off by default and only shares clipboard text between your own devices while enabled.
4. Permissions we request
- Local network — used solely to advertise your Mac to your own devices and accept a connection from them.
- Screen Recording — used solely to capture your Mac's display so it can be mirrored to your iPhone or iPad. macOS requires this permission before any capture can begin.
- Accessibility — used solely to move the pointer, click, scroll, and type on your Mac when you control it from your paired device. It is never used to read or inspect other apps.
Both permissions are granted by you in System Settings, are visible there at any time, and can be revoked whenever you choose. Control Pro Host shows their live status in its Overview screen.
5. What is stored on your Mac
Control Pro Host keeps a small amount of data locally so you do not have to re-pair constantly. None of it leaves your Mac:
- A self-signed TLS identity for your Mac, held in the system Keychain, used to encrypt connections.
- The hash of a resume token for each trusted device, plus its expiry, so a paired device can reconnect without a code for 24 hours. The token itself is never stored on the Mac.
- Your own preferences, such as the selected display, quality, and launch-at-login setting.
Use Forget Saved Trust on the controller, or remove the device on your Mac, to clear this trust at any time.
6. What we do not do
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
- We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind.
- We do not show advertising in the app.
- We do not record your screen or save any part of the stream.
- We do not operate any cloud servers — your screen and input never leave your network.
7. Children
Control Pro Host collects no data from anyone, including children.
8. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date.

Bottom line: Your Mac's screen never leaves your local network. Everything is encrypted, nothing is recorded, and there are no accounts, no analytics, and no cloud — we never see your data.
